| 1960s New Cover Hardbacks |
During the early 1960s Macmillian replaced their hardcover editions with new
covers, with black and white illustrations by Pauline Baynes, taken from the
respective story.
These editions are inadvertantly troublesome, since they give the original copyright date of the title, but not the date of the specific edition published, nor the ISBN, causing some sellers, either ignorantly or otherwise, to declare them first editions.
