| 1980 Fontana Lions paperback |
The Collins “Fontana Lions” paperback editions were published in 1980
after Collins had acquired the paperback rights to
The Magician's Newphew and
The Last Battle, with new cover
art by Stephen Lavis. All maps that were in the first editions
were included, except for the map in
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
This was the first time that the books were reordered in “Chronological Order”, meaning their chronology in Narnian time, rather than the published order which had been used until this time.
